Well, as you have probably heard, it’s flu season. We have had lots of kiddos feeling ill this week. In my class alone, we’ve had 3 to 4 students absent a day! With the “swine flu” scare underway, I would really encourage you to talk with your child about good hygiene frequently! We’ve been practicing sneezing and coughing in the crook of our elbows and have been washing hands and using hand sanitizer frequently, but we need to keep those germs away! If we can develop good habits in them right now, we’ll all stay healthier this year! Your help in this is MUCH appreciated!
We’ve had a great start to the year. Here’s what we’ve been working on: sitting criss-cross, hands in lap, eyes looking, and ears listening when Mrs. B. is teaching; using hallway rules: hands behind your back, no talking, walking in a straight line; and practicing using the bathroom without playing or talking. Your encouragement in these areas would help us learn quickly so that we can have a great year with little interruptions to our learning!
